About Me

Hi, I’m Jill Worboys, Registered Dietitian.
I’m passionate about helping people through nutrition education and counselling to support overall well-being. I take a whole person approach that considers not just what you eat, but how food fits into your life, your goals, and your health journey.
My practice is non-diet and weight inclusive, which means that we focus on health-promoting behaviours and having a good relationships with food rather than the number on the scale. I believe that everyone deserves respectful, compassionate care—free from judgement—so we can work together to improve energy, manage symptoms, and support your body’s needs at any size.

I specialize in practical nutrition support for chronic pain, healing relationships with food, chronic disease prevention & management and GLP-1 Inhibitor support.

Why Work With Me

In a world full of online information, it’s easy to feel like you can “Google” or “ChatGPT” your way to better health.
But when it comes to your nutrition, health history, and relationship with food — you deserve more than general information.
You deserve care that’s personal and grounded in real human connection.

Personalized care that adapts as you do

Algorithms can give advice, but they can’t notice when you seem discouraged, help you troubleshoot barriers, or celebrate progress with you. Our work together is responsive, flexible, and collaborative.

Safe, weight-inclusive, trauma informed

ChatGPT doesn’t have ethics, empathy, or lived experience. I provide a space where your story is heard — without judgement, diet rules, or pressures.

Evidence and experience    meets empathy

I combine science-backed nutrition and 14 years of experience with real-life understanding. Whether you’re navigating menopause, chronic pain, or chronic disease, we’ll find practical strategies that fit your life.

Support for the why not just the what

You can ask AI what to eat — but it won’t help you unpack why making healthy choices feels hard, or how your relationship with food and body has been shaped over time.
I integrate nutrition counselling into our session to help you create meaningful, sustainable change.

Practice Areas

Chronic Pain

Living with chronic pain can make everyday choices—like what to eat—feel overwhelming. As someone who also experiences chronic pain, I understand those challenges firsthand. I help clients use nutrition to support energy, reduce inflammation, and make food a source of comfort and nourishment, not stress.

Healing your Relationship with Food

If years of dieting or managing health conditions have left you feeling anxious or confused about what to eat, you aren’t alone. I provide a non-diet, weight-inclusive space to help you move away from rules to a place of acceptance.

Chronic Disease Prevention & Management

Nutrition can play a powerful role in preventing and managing conditions like heart disease, and high blood pressure. I help clients make realistic, sustainable changes that support long-term health—focusing on nourishment, balance, and what works best for their unique lifestyle.

FAQ

Can you help me lose weight?

With my approach, we focus on behaviour change and other markers of health rather than weight loss.  This is the foundation for a healthy relationship with food and prevents cycles of restriction and binge eating.

What’s the difference between a “Dietitian” vs “Nutritionist”?

A Dietitian is a provincially regulated health profession that requires a minimum of 5 years of university and practice education.  Nutritionist is not regulated in our province, so anyone can use it regardless of their training.
